Imagine drag queens, politics, art, and comedy hitting the dance floor with artificial intelligence, and then you're at the right party. It's an Instagram sensation, serving up AI-generated portraits of the GOP - but make it glam!
Our project launched in March 2023. Within weeks, 250,000 of you joined the party. It’s no surprise that the insta page has quickly become a sparkling soapbox against bigotry, because this year Republican lawmakers in many states have proposed and passed numerous laws to restrict drag performances and harm members of the trans community. Our creations serve up glamor and cutting commentary. And the message is crystal clear: we're here, we're queer, and we're not going anywhere. We refuse to be political pawns and we're absolutely done with the double standards and fear-frenzy of the Republican party.
Our mission? To scatter rainbows in stormy times, elicit belly-laughs amidst tears, AND take a stand. And oh, honey, have we been busy! Rupublicans has already raised an impressive stack of cash, all for organizations battling toxic legislation and lending a hand to the LGBTQ+ community. Every merch sale sends a slice of the pie to these worthy causes, and we host fundraisers on our Instagram page for specific organizations - like the ACLU of Montana Foundation fundraiser where the fabulous @rupublicans community rallied to raise a staggering $21,000 in one weekend.
